Create Compliance

Estimated reading: 4 minutes

The Create Compliance feature enables users to create compliance frameworks by grouping multiple policies into a single configuration. It helps users manage governance requirements by applying predefined policies to AI agents and workflows.

Compliance frameworks allow users to organize policies based on specific regulatory, security, and data protection requirements. By combining related policies together, users can simplify policy management and ensure consistent enforcement across AI systems.

The compliance creation workflow guides users through configuring compliance details, selecting the required policy scope, choosing applicable policies, and creating the compliance framework.

Benefits of Using Compliance

Compliance helps users establish consistent governance controls across AI applications.

  • Create a centralized framework to manage multiple policies.
  • Apply compliance controls across AI agents and workflows.
  • Organize policies based on business, regulatory, or regional requirements.
  • Protect sensitive information by enforcing security and privacy policies.
  • Improve visibility into applied governance controls.
  • Reuse existing compliance configurations by cloning frameworks.
Note:

Ensure that the selected policies match the intended compliance requirements before creating the framework.

Create Compliance Workflow

The Create Compliance workflow allows users to configure a compliance framework through a series of steps. Each step captures the required information to define the framework and apply the required policies.

Step Name Description
1 Name Defines the name of the compliance framework.
2 Description Provides additional details about the compliance framework.
3 Policy Scope Defines the scope of policies available for selection.
4 Choose Policies Allows users to select policies to include in the framework.
Step 1 - Name

The Name step allows users to define the identity of the compliance framework. A unique name helps users easily identify and manage compliance configurations.

Fields
Field Description
Name Enter a unique name for the compliance framework. The name should represent the purpose or requirement of the configuration.
Example
Field Example Value
Name Data Privacy Compliance
Step 2 - Description

The Description step allows users to provide additional information about the compliance framework. The description helps users understand the purpose and scope of the configured compliance requirements.

Fields
Field Description
Description Enter a brief description explaining the purpose of the compliance framework and the controls it applies.
Example
Field Example Value
Description Ensures sensitive user data is protected according to applicable data privacy requirements.
Step 3 - Policy Scope

The Policy Scope step allows users to define which policies are available while creating the compliance framework. Users can select policies based on general requirements or specific regional compliance needs.

Policy Scope Options
Option Description
Generic / All Policies Allows users to select policies that apply across different regions and requirements.
Region-Specific Policies Allows users to select policies based on a specific country or region.
Examples

Region-specific policies can include:

  • GDPR policies for European Union data protection requirements.
  • CCPA policies for California privacy requirements.
Step 4 - Choose Policies

The Choose Policies step allows users to select the policies that define the compliance framework. The selected policies determine the governance controls applied to AI agents and workflows.

Examples of Policies

Users can select policies for:

  • Detecting and protecting personally identifiable information (PII).
  • Restricting access to sensitive information.
  • Enforcing data security and privacy controls.
  • Preventing non-compliant AI interactions.
Note:

Review the selected policies before creating the compliance framework to ensure they meet the required governance objectives.

Managing Compliance

After creating a compliance framework, users can manage it from the Compliance section in Compliance Hub. Users can update, reuse, or export existing compliance configurations based on their requirements.

Action Description
View & Edit Allows users to update compliance details and modify selected policies.
Save Changes Saves the updated compliance configuration.
Clone Creates a copy of an existing compliance framework for reuse.
Export Exports the compliance configuration for use across environments.
