General Settings Configuration

The following sections describe the available settings and how to use them.

1. Host Name

The Host Name is the base URL used to connect to the Control Plane. It serves as the endpoint for API requests, SDK configurations, and external service integrations.

Example: https://controlplane.sentinelsuite.ai

Click Copy to copy the hostname for use in applications or external service configurations.

2. Project Name

The Project Name identifies the project within the organization. It is displayed across relevant dashboards, logs, and configuration pages.

Rename the Project

To update the project name:

1. Enter the new name in the Project Name field.
2. Click Save to apply the changes.

After saving, the updated name is reflected in the relevant areas of the platform.

3. Debug Information

The Debug Information section displays project and organization metadata in JSON format. This information helps support teams identify the relevant project and investigate configuration or other project-related issues.

Click Copy to copy the JSON information when contacting the support team.

Note: The information is read-only and cannot be modified from this section.

4. Danger Zone

The Danger Zone contains administrative actions that affect project ownership or permanently remove a project. Review the implications of each action and ensure that you have the required permissions before proceeding.

a. Transfer Ownership

The Transfer Ownership option allows authorized users to transfer a project to another organization where they have permission to create projects.

This option is useful when a project needs to be moved to a different organization or its ownership needs to be reassigned.

Before transferring ownership:

a. Ensure that you have permission to create projects in the target organization.
b. Review the project’s dependencies and integrations before initiating the transfer.

Note: Only Project Owners and Administrators can transfer a project.

Click Transfer Project to initiate the transfer process, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete it.

b. Delete Project

The Delete Project option permanently deletes the project. This action may affect resources, configurations, and data associated with the project, depending on the platform’s deletion behavior.

Before deleting the project:

a. Back up any project data that may be required later.
b. Verify that no active services or integrations depend on the project.
c. Ensure that you have Project Owner permissions.

Note: Project deletion cannot be undone. Only the Project Owner can delete a project. Administrators do not have permission to delete projects.

Click Delete Project and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the deletion.
