Load CSV

The Load CSV component is designed specifically to import comma-separated values (CSV) data into your flow.

1. Functionality: Reads structured tabular data from a CSV source and converts it for downstream node consumption.
2. Status: Legacy / Unmaintained.
3. Migration Path: Replace with the File system component to ensure ongoing support, enhanced parsing options, and compatibility with future platform updates.

Load JSON

The Load JSON component is designed specifically to import JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) data into your flow.

1. Functionality: Reads key-value pairs, nested objects, and arrays from a JSON source and converts them into structured data.
2. Status: Legacy / Unmaintained.
3. Migration Path: Replace with the File system component to ensure ongoing support, flexible payload handling, and compatibility with future platform updates.

News Search

The News Search component queries Google News via RSS feeds and returns structured article data in a DataFrame. Each result contains article titles, URLs, publication dates, and text summaries. Under the hood, the component uses BeautifulSoup (clean_html) to parse raw HTML content, strip unnecessary markup, and clean up whitespace.

Alternative Search Components

General Web Searches: Use the Web Search component or provider-specific Bundles.

Custom RSS Feeds: Use the RSS Reader component.

Output & Integration Patterns

The News Search component outputs data formatted as a DataFrame:

Standard Flow Execution: Must be connected directly to a node that accepts DataFrame input. To send search results to nodes expecting text or message objects (such as Prompt Templates), use a Processing component (like Type Convert) to format or extract the required data.

Agent Tool Mode: Connect directly to an Agent component’s Tools port with no data transformation needed. The agent will autonomously decide when to execute the news search and can process the DataFrame output directly.

News Search Parameters

Tip: Most input parameters are hidden by default in the visual editor. You can toggle parameter visibility using Controls in the component’s header menu.

Parameter Description
Search Query The search keywords or topics to find relevant news articles.
Language (hl) Restricts articles to a specific language code (for example, en-US, fr, de).
Country (gl) Restricts news to a specific country code (for example, US, FR, DE).
Country:Language (ceid) Combines country and language settings (for example, US:en, FR:fr).
Topic Filters news by specific categories: WORLD, NATION, BUSINESS, TECHNOLOGY, ENTERTAINMENT, SCIENCE, SPORTS, or HEALTH.
Location (Geo) Target city, state, or country for location-based news filtering. Leave blank for keyword-only search.
Timeout Maximum duration (in seconds) to wait for the request before timing out.
News Articles Output parameter returning a DataFrame with the key columns title, link, published, and summary.

RSS Reader

The RSS Reader component fetches and parses RSS feeds from any valid RSS URL. It returns the processed feed content as a DataFrame containing key columns such as article titles, direct links, publication dates, and summaries.

Integration Patterns

How you handle the component’s output depends on the execution mode you use to deploy it:

Standard Flow Execution: The component must be connected directly to a node that accepts DataFrame input. If you need to send the parsed feed to nodes requiring other data formats (such as text or message objects), use a Processing component to convert or extract the data before passing it along.

Agent Tool Mode: Connect the component directly to an Agent component’s Tools port with no data conversion required. The agent autonomously decides when to trigger the RSS reader and processes the DataFrame output natively.

RSS Reader Parameters

Parameter Description
RSS Feed URL The direct URL of the RSS feed to fetch and parse (for example, https://rss.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/HomePage.xml ).
Timeout Maximum time (in seconds) to wait for the RSS feed request to respond before timing out.
Articles Output parameter that returns a DataFrame containing the key columns title, link, published, and summary.
