Workflow Pass-Through

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

The Workflow Pass-Through component forwards the value from the Primary input directly to the output without modification. The Pass input acts as a workflow control signal to coordinate execution and routing, while its data is excluded from the final output.

This component is useful when you need to preserve and forward a value while coordinating workflow execution across different paths.

Key Benefits

Data Preservation: Preserves and forwards the primary value downstream without modification.
Execution Control: Coordinates downstream execution based on workflow routing, sequencing, or synchronization requirements.

Parameters

Parameter Description
Primary The input whose value is forwarded to the output. The component passes this value through without modification.
Pass An optional input that can be connected to the component but is not processed during execution. Any value received through this input is ignored.
Timeout (Seconds) Specifies the maximum time the component waits for execution to complete before it is marked as failed. Default: 30 seconds.
Retry Count Specifies the number of retry attempts if component execution fails. Default: 1.
Delay Between Retries (Seconds) Specifies the wait time between retry attempts. Default: 1 second.
Delay Before Execution (Seconds) Specifies the delay before the component starts execution. Default: 0 seconds.
Delay After Execution (Seconds) Specifies the delay after the component completes execution before the workflow proceeds to the next step. Default: 0 seconds.
Continue on Error Defines the workflow behavior when component execution fails.
  • Stop Workflow – Stops the workflow immediately if the component fails.
  • Continue – Continues to the next workflow step even if the component fails.
  • Continue Using Error Output – Continues to the next workflow step and passes the error details through the component's error output.

Output

Output Description
Message Output Returns the value received through the Primary input connection as a Message, without any modification.
Data Output Returns the value received through the Primary input connection as JSON, without any modification.
DataFrame Output Returns the value received through the Primary input connection as a Table, without any modification.
